Accessing Google Drive
There are 2 ways to access Google Drive on your computer, in a web browser or through Windows Explorer. You can also install the app on your mobile devices and sign in to view files on those devices. I will outline the steps for each in this document.
Accessing Google Drive in a Web Browser
- Open a web browser and go to http://drive.google.com

Click the “Go to Drive” button at the top of the page

- Enter your email address and click “Next”

You will be redirected to the Microsoft 365 login page, enter your email, click “Next”

Enter your password and click “Sign In”
- Complete the multi-factor authentication if presented with it and you will be redirected to Google Drive.

In the menu on the left, My Drive is personal storage and Shared drives is where you will see the drives you have access to.
Accessing Google Drive in File Explorer

Check the icons by the clock and find Google Drive. If it isn’t there, check on your start menu.

When you click the icon you will see a Google Drive popup, click “Sign In”
- A browser will open, enter your email address and complete the sign in process.

Once complete, open File Explorer and you should see a G: drive. If you already have a G: drive it will select the next available letter.
- You can access all your files from this new drive.
Accessing Google Drive on a Mobile Device
- Search the app store for “Google Drive” and install the app

Tap “Sign In.

Enter your email address and tap “Next”
- Complete the sign in on the Microsoft 365 login page.

You can now select files at the bottom right and view My Drive and Shared drives.
